Barolo Bussia DOCG “Agnesi” is dedicated to the scholar Maria Gaetana Agnesi, an Italian mathematician, philosopher, theologian, academic, and philanthropist. Recognized as one of the greatest mathematicians of all time, she was the first female author of a mathematics book and the first to obtain a university chair in mathematics at the University of Bologna. Our Barolo pays homage to it by depicting the curve called “Versiera” that made it famous.
